About myEnku

It started as a mustard seed.

myEnku grew out of one person’s ten-week experiment: a big goal, a different teacher each week, and a stubborn habit of writing everything down.

The origin

Project Mustard Seed

The name comes from the parable of faith as small as a mustard seed. The project was simple to describe and hard to do: pick one ambitious, measurable goal, then spend ten weeks studying a different body of ideas each week, and track what happened.

The weeks ranged widely: Napoleon Hill on definite purpose, Wayne Dyer on intention, meditation and mental rehearsal, the Taoist idea of not forcing, the Bhagavad Gita on detachment from results, symbolic rituals, preparation and opportunity, and faith. Then came the two weeks that made it an experiment: a comparison week with fewer practices, and a replication week to see whether what seemed to help would help again.

The teachings were the inspiration. The measuring kept it honest.

That structure became Goal Lab, a working prototype, and now myEnku: built for anyone, with any goal and any guide, and the same honest measurement underneath.

  1. Project Mustard Seed

A personal ten-week experiment with one goal and many teachers.

  2. Goal Lab

The prototype: goal separated from teachings, then “Find Your Guide”, then the One-Minute Reset.

  3. myEnku

A home for the experiment, for a general audience, with a companion to walk it with you.

The name

Enku, from Enkidu.

In the Epic of Gilgamesh, one of the oldest stories we have, Enkidu is the friend who walks beside the king: an equal, not a servant, and the companion who changes him. That’s the role we wanted for Enku. Not a master with answers, but someone at your side for the journey.

We also learned, gratefully, that እንቁ (enku) means pearl or jewel in Amharic. We didn’t create that meaning and we don’t claim it; we honor it. It’s why Enku carries a pearl staff, and why we like to say there’s a pearl of potential in every person who starts.

What we believe

Respect the teachings. Respect the data.

On teachers and traditions

  • Teachings are adapted paraphrases with sources, never invented quotes.
  • Teachers and authors are not affiliated with myEnku and don’t endorse it.
  • Faith and ritual paths are there for those who want them, recommended only when you ask for spiritual guidance, and never pushed.

On measurement

  • No practice is claimed to cause an outcome. We look; we don’t prove.
  • Your numbers mean the same thing whichever guide you choose or switch to.
  • Enku is a scripted guide, not AI, and we’ll say so until that changes.
